These are all typologised by article genre (domestic/foreign news, opinion, culture/entertainment, sport, etc) Additionally, we have all tweets linking to any of these articles. Further, we have computationally extracted all direct and indirect quotes from this material, and associated them with the quote source, who we, in turn, have associated with the organisation they represent. Identifying propaganda networks in the war in Ukraine and new tools for systematic sampling / **Roman Kyrychenko and Aleksi Knuutila have studied how information from the war in Ukraine becomes public and is accepted as evidence, and the various techniques that different actors use to influence perceptions of the war. One of their data sources is Telegram, where events from the war are first reported. In this presentation Kyrychenko discusses his preliminary results and methods for identifying communities from networks of public Telegram channels. Knuutila will discuss a project to create a directory of public Telegram channels for scholars, and a database of Finnish Telegram sources that is the first release from the project.
