I am a member of the Bayesian statistics group and the Biomathematics group  in the University of Helsinki. For my PhD, I've been working on statistical methods for studying ecological dynamics and interactions in bacterial populations. In general, I am very interested in statistical methods, inference and modelling, epidemiology and evolutionary epidemiology and also the problems and methods in bioinformatics.

Listen to me talk (in Finnish) about my exciting project analyzing transmissions of bacteria within a refugee camp in Luma-päivät (a day for Finnish mathematics and science teachers):

  Audio lecture 15 min

Me and my colleagues jointly organize a very informal statistics club.  If you feel interested, don't hesitate to participate. More information can be found in:

Helsinki Statistics Discussion Club

But you can also contact me!
