Since the copy is handwritten, a copyist can also be referred to as s [[scribe>>doc:stemmatology.Scribe.WebHome]]. In some cases, the scribe was the producer of the original document, and in these cases, the scribe cannot be seen as a copyist. This applies to many charters and letters in which the scribe often identified himself or herself at the end of the document. | ||
