Statistical population genetics, Spring 2017

Scope: 5 cr

Type: Intermediate/Advanced

Teaching: Lectures in C128 (1. floor, Exactum, Kumpula), 14-16, Mon 20.3, Tue 21.3, Mon 27.3, Tue 28.3, Tue 4.4, Tue 11.4 , weekly exercises and assignments (submissions possible till the end of May)No exam.

Topics: probability calculus and basic statistics applied on genetic problems. More in Moodle (will be open in Tuesday 14.3, no key needed)

Prerequisites: At least basics of probability calculus and statistical inference. The course is for stat-math -students who plan to continue their master studies in biostatistics and bioinformatics in (the current) statistics master´s, or in the new (starting Fall 2017) Life Science Informatics Master´s degree programme. The course is, of course, open for all students, without those plans in mind.
