Monotone/Competitive dynamical systems, fall 2009

The course gives a brief introduction to the basic theory for monotone (cooperative) and
competitive dynamical systems, as well as their many applications to population dynamics
described by ODEs, DDEs and reaction-diffusion systems. This is an excellent opportunity
for advanced undergraduates and graduate students to get acquainted with an exciting
area, with a host of mathematically interesting and intrinsically hard problems and with
results also applicable to understand biological phenomena.
