34 The course will show how Baire category and probabilistic
35 arguments can be used to prove results in harmonic analysis.
36 I shall assume nothing beyond simple measure theory and
37 elementary metric topology and will work on the assumption
38 that the general background and ideas will be more useful
39 to the audience than the final results.
