In the memory of the distinguished mathematician Frederick William Gehring the  conference

“A quasiconformal life: Celebration of the legacy and work of F.W.Gehring” will be organized in the University of Helsinki, August 11-12, 2013.

The Conference will take place at the downtown campus of the University of Helsinki on Sunday and Monday, August 11-12, after the XXIIth Rolf Nevanlinna Colloquium, which will be held at the same place August 5 – 9, 2013.

Allan Beardon, Peter Jones, Pekka Koskela, Gaven Martin, Bruce Palka, Kai Rajala, Nageswari Shanmugalingam, Jussi Väisälä and Jang-Mei Wu have already promised to give a lecture at the Conference.

The registration and accommodation web pages will be available at the beginning of February, 2013.

There is no conference fee.

The XXIIth Rolf Nevanlinna Colloquim will be organized between August 5-9, 2013, in Helsinki, Finland. The venue is the Porthania Building (address: Yliopistonkatu 3) at the University of Helsinki Central Campus, in downtown Helsinki.
