Language
Agreements should be written in plain and simple language. Do not use complicated terminology or words that may be interpreted in many ways. Give an explanation to terms you think may cause problems. A list of terminology at the end of the agreement could be useful.
Shorter versions of titles or names are advisable but they must be explained.
Abbreviations are also useful and make the text shorter and more readable.
Give a draft of the agreement to someone not involved in the joint programme development and let him/her comment on any unclear terminology or parts of the text. If the agreement is drafted by non-native speakers of the language used in the document, it should be proof-read and edited by a language expert.
