New in Imaris 10
The Imaris 10 release brings significant improvements to the filament tracing module. Filament tracing in Imaris 10 runs much faster, it is capable of segmenting much larger images. In addition, the Imaris 10 filament tracing module uses machine learning to achieve greater versatility.

Imaris Surface creation wizards now have the option of using Labkit,a Fiji plug-in for machine learning pixel classification.

Segmentation results can also be imported from other popular pixel classification tools (for example Ilastik) but this is not incorporated into the wizards.
