- The Capture and Analysis Toolkit by Digital Methods Initiative UvA is a tool that can be used to scrape incoming posts on various forums, image boards and web platforms (including Reddit, Instagram and Telegram) and then process them for further analysis.

- Zeeschuimer is a browser extension for Firefox. It monitors internet traffic while you are browsing a social media site, and collects data about the items you see in a platform's web interface for later systematic analysis
