Matomo is the recommended tool for user tracking on the university's online services. Matomo servers and data are located in the university's own data centers, so the data you collect will not be shared with third parties.

You can log in to the university’s Matomo using the university’s single sign-on system. External users (such as consultants) can also log in to the service using local credentials created in Matomo.

Please note that the IT Center only maintains the platform! The IT Center cannot assist with the creation of reports or similar tasks.

Getting started

Only Matomo administrators can add a new service to Matomo. To have your website included in Matomo analytics, submit a ticket to the Helpdesk and include at least the following information in the ticket:

  • Your Website URL
  • Name and email address of the person responsible for the website.

Once your ticket has been processed, you will receive access to your Matomo measurement and the basic tracking code to be placed on your website.

From the Matomo admin dashboard, you can manage access permissions for your dashboard (for example, add new users to your measurement) and edit the tracking code if necessary.
