FRAP BOOSTER:

Microscope is equipped with FRAP booster allowing FRAP experiments. However the implementation used means that spatial resolution will be lower during FRAP experiments. 

AUTOFOCUS:

SP8 is equipped with adaptive focus control (AFC) that allows the microscope to maintain stable focus over long periods of time. 
AFC works the best with air objectives, but water objectives can also be used.  Leica application letter below explains how to operate the AFC system.
