Neural morphology

Neural Morphology can be analyzed with Imaris filament tracer or NeuronStudio.  The latter is freeware available to anyone willing to download the software packet and take the time needed to learn to use it.  Notably NeuronStudio has been developed for images of patch clamped neurons so it might not work that well on images taken from stained tissue. Imaris performs bit better with tissue images but is far from perfect. As with most cases the quality of your images determines how accurate your measurements will be.
