MetaXpress

MetaXpress is the imaging and analysis software for MD ImageXpress Nano (and Micro). LMU has an offline license for it, which allows to run batch processing on the HCA Workstation. To run an offline analysis the images have to be in the exact same folder that was created during imaging (under \\med-nas.ad.helsinki.fi\med-groups\lmu\ls1\instruments\Nano).

Contact us, when you are going to use the MetaXpress for the first time at HCA Workstation. We will create you an account for MetaXpress and set the PowerCore Server settings for you. The usage instructions below expect that you have correct settings on your account at HCA workstation.

First start MetaXpress  

And choose yourself as a MetaXpress user.

Choose your database.

If you already have  an analysis protocol, and you know which plates you want to analyse, you can use Screening / Plate Data Utilites to Run

Analysis for multiple plates automatically. If you need to search which plates or analysis to use, you can choose Review Plate Data first.

At the analysis screen choose the analysis from the list, its settings, which channels to analyse and put Run method to Auto run.

Start PowerCore Server. Answer ok to server settings.

Click start to start monitoring MetaXpress autorun jobs. If an error message appears, check that there is an active client (Active Client tab).

During the analysis the server shows the number of total positions to analyse and the progress of the analysis. At the end the saving might take some time. Do not close the software before it is ready. You can put new analyses into the queue in MetaXpress during the execution of the previous ones. You can export the measurements you want to text file (Plate Data Utilities / Export Measurements).
