CREATING YOUR APPLICATION
- Applications are managed on an online platform called Funding & Tenders Portal. To use the Portal, you'll need an EU Login. Create your application under "Start submission" on the call page.
- University of Helsinki validated PIC-code is 999994535.
- University of Helsinki short name is UH.
- The legal name of UH is Helsingin yliopisto.
- Remember to add your Senior Funding Advisor from Research Funding Services as a contact person to your application.

| UH ERC AdG 2026 Seminar Series Spring-summer 2026 | RFS offers a series of seminars to guide applicants through the process in addition to the usual individual support. Each meeting will start with a short presentation, followed by Q&A time to explore the topic in more depth or to ask any question the applicants may have. The format also allows applicants to form peer support. The seminars are open to anybody applying with University of Helsinki as host organisation. The seminar language is English. Yellow Research Training: How to Write a Successful ERC AdG Proposal 30-31 March 2026, 09.30-12.00
| Webinar Part 1: The first webinar focuses on the basics of the ERC. By creating a clear overview of what the ERC is looking for, and what to look for, we provide the participants with a foundation to which they can apply all the information. We will then go in detail about what is important for the B1. Webinar Part 2: The focus of the second webinar is on the writing of Part II of the Scientific Proposal. Where Part I is an introduction into the State of the Art, the Objectives and Scientific Approach, Part II focuses on the Methodology and Work Packages. NB. Registration is required. Registration, access to the recorded sessions (in case you are unable to attend online) and handout materials for this event is done via Lyyti. INFO WEBINAR: ERC ADVANCED GRANT AND ERC PLUS GRANT CALLS 2026 | The European Research Council Advanced (AdG) and Plus Grants (PLUS) provide long term funding for Principal Investigators ready to tackle highly ambitious research questions. The Advanced Grants of up to 2.5 - 3.5 million euros for a period of up to five years allow for completely novel, bottom-up research projects that have high potential for ground-breaking discoveries. The new ERC Plus Grants of up to 7 million euros for 4 - 7 years support projects that address major scientific challenges and could not be carried out with the regular ERC grants. This session will offer an overview of the expected calls and novelties therein, including the application parts and review processes. Guidance on lump sum-budgeting will also be provided.
