- Applications are created and submitted in Funding & Tenders Portal, the online submission system. To use the Portal, you'll need an EU Login.

- University of Helsinki short name is UH.
- The legal name of UH is Helsingin yliopisto.
- Remember to add your Senior Funding Advisor from Research Funding Services as a contact person to your application.

Yellow Research Training: How to Write a Successful ERC StG & CoG Proposal 20-21 April 2026, 9:30 - 12:00
| In cooperation with Aalto University, UH Research Funding Services is delighted to provide University of Helsinki researchers with free access to a two-part webinar on writing successful ERC Starting and Consolidator Grant proposals. Day 1: The first webinar focuses on the basics of the ERC. By creating a clear overview of what the ERC is looking for, and what to look for, we provide the participants with a foundation to which they can apply all the information. We will then go in detail about what is important for the B1. Day 2: The focus of the second webinar is on the writing of Part II of the Scientific Proposal. Where Part I is an introduction into the State of the Art, the Objectives and Scientific Approach, Part II focuses on the Methodology and Work Packages. Please register no later than 19 April!

ERC Proposal Reading Days April 2026
| Organised by the Research Council of Finland, ERC Proposal Reading Days are on-site events that give ERC applicants an opportunity to read successful ERC proposals to see how a proposal might be formulated. Each day contains two 3-hours reading sessions (9:00-12:00 and 13:00-16:00). UH City Centre Campus: StG 2027 Workshop 29 April - 2 September 2026 | This workshop is aimed at Starting Grant applicants based in faculties on the City Centre Campus.

UH Starting Grant 2027 Seminar Series 17 June - 30 September 2026
| RFS offers a series of seminars to guide applicants through the process in addition to the usual individual support. Each meeting will start with a short presentation, followed by Q&A time to explore the topic in more depth or to ask any question the applicants may have. The format also allows applicants to form peer support. The seminars are open to anybody applying with University of Helsinki as host organisation. The seminar language is English.
