Scope

5+3 sp. The 5 cr part is gained via written exam and the additional 3 cr can be acquired by making a larger home assignment.

Prerequisites

Probability calculus, calculus, linear algebra are important pre-requisites. Stochastic processes and computational statistics are useful, but not obligatory.

Lectures

First lecture March 10, last lecture May 5. Lecture times: Tuesday 12-14 and Thursday 12-14 in room B120.

Easter Holiday 2.-8.4. In addition to the Easter holiday, there is no lecture on: Tue April 21, Thu April 30.

Exams

Written exam on Thursday May 7th, 12-16 in room B120.

Exercise sessions

The first session is exceptionally held in room DK116 on Wed March 18 between 12-14. The remaining sessions are held in room B121 on Thu 14-16 by Mikhail Shubin (first dot last at helsinki dot fi). Note that there is no exercise session on Thu April 2 due to Easter holiday.
