Bayesian theory with applications, spring 2012

Scope

5+3 cu.

Type

The course will be similar to the spring 2010 and 2011 versions, thus for details apart from specific dates you can take a look at the old lecture diary here, which will be updated during the course.

Prerequisites

Probability calculus, calculus, linear algebra are important pre-requisites. Stochastic processes and computational statistics are useful, but not obligatory.

Lectures

Tuesdays 12-14 in room B322 and Thursdays 12-14 in room D123. Starts March 13th., ends May 3rd.
 NB! No lecture on Thu 12.4. and during the Easter holiday 5.4.-11.4.
 NB! Lecture on Tue 24.4. is moved to Wed 25.4. 12-14 in room DK117.

Exams

A written exam will be arranged on May 3rd in room B120 12-16 for the 5cr part. A larger assignment is required for the additional 3cr. For details about possible assignment topics, see the above link to lecture diary page.
