Last saved Excel

The tool can be found from the Kotka top menu bar, under Tools → Last saved Excel. On this page you see a list of specimens you last imported to Kotka using Excel import. The list has the identifiers for the specimens, import time and each specimen/row is marked either ok or as failed. Imports are done in the background, so when doing an import, you don't need to wait on the import page. Instead, you can do something else while waiting for the import to be ready and always come back to the list of last imported specimens using the tool link.

It is always wise to check the list of imported specimens for any failed records. Sometimes it may happen that a specimen passes all validators and specimen import preview seems fine, but saving the data to database still fails. If this happens, and you don't know what causes the failure, please contact the admins at kotka(at)luomus.fi and provide the data you tried to import.

Note! The page only remembers one last Excel you imported, so if you make several imports in a row, remember to make the checks between imports!
