Kotka is a browser based system for managing natural history collections in natural history museums.
Kotka is being developed in Luomus/FinFIB using agile software development methods. In addition to Luomus, 13 other museums/natural history collections in Finland use Kotka. Kotka has data on more than 2,9 million museum specimens (situation 12/2021).
