3D Histec Software
The Genome Biology Unit digital slide scanner from 3D Histec was upgraded to a new Pannoramic 250 Flash II and it comes with the new SlideViewer 2.7 software. The new file format is not compatible with the old CaseViewer 2.4 we have installed on our Imaging Workstation 1. This is because it has an old license for the QuantCenter 2.0 analysis plugin, which is not compatible with SlideViewer 2.7. Also we can't have both CaseViewer and SlideViewer installed on the same computer. We still have the old legacy software Pannoramic Viewer 1.15 for those users who had their analysis work flow made on it.
If you're scanning new images on the Pannoramic 250 Flash II, you have two options on how you can analyze them:
- Export the files in the older CaseViewer 2.4 format. Analyze them with QuantCenter plugin on the CaseViewer on Imaging Workstation 1.
- Use the SlideViewer 2.7 to export the images as TIFF files and analyze them with your preferred third party software (like FIJI).
The SlideViewer can be downloaded for free from the 3D Histec web site. For Mac users there is the free iPad Viewer in the Apple App Store.
NB! Do not install Slideviewer to Imaging Workstation 1 as that will make the CaseViewer unusable.
