This tool plots the output particle files, or input BG particles file (like smps or dmps measurements).

Levels

Sets the color scaling between the values of upper and lower Log10 values. If you have "pixelated" areas (like in the lower panel there are 3), increase the upper limit.

Smoothing

This feature uses SciPy, if available. Does a gaussian filtering in horisontal (x-value) and vertical direction (y-value). To Enable smoothing in either of the plots, select the appropriate  Smooth → .

Live update

This option is available when the model is running in Run ARCA. Checking this option the particle_conc file will be loaded whenever the file is changed. In effect the particle size distribution is evolving in front of your eyes!

Load PSD

Lets you choose and load Particle.nc, particle_conc.* or any other file which the tool tries to parse and plot. The concentrations are log-normalized.

Use current BG file

loads the current BG particles file, if it is properly defined. If you have just performed a simulation in Run ARCA, and BG particles was used, this will plot that particular file. Similarily, if you load the InitBackup.txt of any previous run (where BG particles was used), this will find the BG file. The left and right arrows will increase or decrease the current day with one and tries to find the BG particles file with that name, if wildcards were used in defining the file.
