Particle mass and concentrations plots
This tool lets you take closer look at the particle distribution. By loading a Particles.nc file from Load Box output file, you can see the total particle mass per m³ (the current ISO prefix is shown in the vertical label) for any diameter or sum over diameters (select the desired nominal diameters from Diameter panel). In the lower panel the number concentration/cm³ distribution is shown (in log-normalized form) for the duration of the simulation. By selecting multiple timestamps from Times (h) (Ctrl-click, although this may vary on different OSs) you can see them compared.
Show measurements
If the model PSD was initialized using measurements or parametric distribution, it will be saved in the Particles.nc, and it can be show here by selecting this option.
Add file
Similar to Line plots, you can add up to 3 additional files. The legend in the upper panel shows the markers for each file, the same markers are used in the lower plot. The colors in the lower plot are defined by the time stamps, not the files!
- Note that the measurements are shown for the first file only.
- The files need to have the same nominal save intervals, defined originally in tab General→ Time options. Here the first file defines the requirements for the rest.
- The files also need to have exactly matching particle diameters and bin number.
- If time step optimization was used, the actual save times could be some seconds off the nominal save interval, if the model was using a relatively large time step.
