Tab::Run ARCA::Monitor

Here you can run the model with the current settings, even if you haven't saved them in any INITFILE. This is the best way to test that your settings make sense and the model is able to find the input files and directories, and that the input sent in is sensible.

Force stop

This will send a kill command to the model, ending it then and there. NetCDF output files will not be closed and you loose them. If you have NetCDF files from previous runs, these will not be overwritten, since the model writes *.tmp files during the runs and first after successful end (or soft stop) it replaces the *.nc files with *.tmp files.

Soft Stop

This will send a request (vial file called ENDNOT.INIT) for the model to end the simulation upon next time it reaches Print interval. If the model seems to be slowed down very much, using this option will let the model close and therefore have usable NetCDF files.

Focus to end

If you scroll the monitor window while the model is running, you get back to the latest point by pressing this.
