Locations and other data for insect collections in care of the Insect Team of Finnish Museum of Natural History. The HR numbers are Kotka identifiers for the particular collection part (if any).

TODO: add dataset numbers for parts that are not recorded as collections.

• Main collection: Collection Hall K?. Pinned material, some slides.
  • galls, feeding tracks etc., former Dept. of  Biology collection: 24 cardboard boxes in the main hall, back wall, on top of cabinets
  • galls, feeding tracks etc. main collection: cardboard boxes on shelves on compactor X.
  • Coll. Mannerheim: original cabinets.
  • Coll. Frey: between the Diptera and Hymenoptera collections.
  • Coll. Nylander (Hymenoptera): partially kept separate, within the Hymenoptera main collection.
• Liquid collection (HR.3411): room CK207 (2nd underground floor, below Economcum). Specimen in ethanol, also some slides.
• Genomic collection, vouchers: Laboratory shelves & freezers. Rooms ???, ???.
• Other, smaller subcollections
  • Diptera, Chironomidae slides: K1, slide cabinets. Some secondary slides still in ther library?
  • Diptera, Porrycondyliinae (Cecidomyiidae), slides by Samuel Panelius: B108 (4 black slide boxes on the shelves)
  • Diptera, Sciaridae: slides in K1 in the slide cabinets.
  • Diptera, Tabanidae of Väisänen: main collection, some in brown boxes on top of the compactors
  • Siphonaptera slides: main collection, last compactor on the left.
  • xylophagous species feeding tracks, dead wood samples: K? (1 rullakko) [possibly lost]
