Silfverberg 1988 (Ann. Ent. Fenn. 52:15-40): "The Mannerheim collection, which is kept separate, includes a large number of specimens with no written locality labels; among them are many types. Such specimens generally have small labels, the colour and shape of which identify the locality."

Bio

Born August 10, 1797 in Villnäs (=Askainen), Finland. Died October 9, 1854 in Stockholm, Sweden. A Finnish entomologist and governor of the Viipuri province in the Grand Duchy of Finland.
