Title: Random Matrices and Universality

Abstract:
 The first part of the course is devoted to an overview of random
matrices, where I review the most important models, discuss some
applications, and state the key questions. In the second part, I
outline the recent proof of the Wigner-Dyson-Mehta universality
conjecture by Erdos, Yau, and collaborators.
