Title: On Freeness of Group Actions on Noncommutative Spaces

Abstract: In this talk we discuss some of the forms of freeness of  
group actions on noncommutative spaces that have been used, with  
emphasis on a C*-algebraic viewpoint. We give some indications of  
their strengths, weaknesses, classifiability, applications, and  
relationships to each other. Among the examples which we present are  
Woronowicz's quantum SUq(2) and the Connes-Landi spheres.
