Abstract:

The course will show how Baire category and probabilistic
arguments can be used to prove results in harmonic analysis.
I shall assume nothing beyond simple measure theory and
elementary metric topology and will work on the assumption
that the general background and ideas will be more useful
to the audience than the final results.
