Baire Category and Probabilistic Methods in Analysis, fall 2009
Weeks 37 and 38:
Tuesday 10-12 room C123
Wednesday 12-14 room B120
Thursday 10-12 room C123
Friday 10-12 room B120
Registration at the first lecture
The course will show how Baire category and probabilistic
arguments can be used to prove results in harmonic analysis.
I shall assume nothing beyond simple measure theory and
elementary metric topology and will work on the assumption
that the general background and ideas will be more useful
to the audience than the final results.
