Things to do in Helsinki
Suomenlinna sea fortress is a fantastic place to visit for sightseeing, history, and picnics. Ferries leave from the central market square of Helsinki, and the boat ride is about 15 minutes.
The Seurasaari island has beautiful views and some old-fashioned wooden buildings. It is very easy to reach by bus 24.

Nuuksio National Park has a nature center called Haltia. There are spectacular hiking routes around the center.
The Ateneum art museum holds a collection of classical Finnish art and holds thematic exhibitions. Kiasma is a museum for contemporary art. Both are located in the very center of Helsinki near the railway station.
Take a bus to Porvoo, the second-oldest city in Finland. It's a one hour bus trip between Helsinki and Porvoo, and buses run at least once in an hour. Buses leave from the Kamppi terminal.
