Scientific Activities

My research interests lie in mathematical statistical physics, classical and quantum.

My refereed publications range from  the theory of fluid turbulence to the statistical thermodynamics of classical and quantum nano-systems and also include investigations of the semi-classical limit in Quantum Mechanics. 

Before joining the University of Helsinki Mathematical Physics Group I was as a Ph.D. student in the CATS group at the The Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen under the supervision of Mogens H. Jensen. My staying at NBI was supported by an individual Marie Curie research training grant (grant subject area: statistical physics (P-07)). I have also been working at The Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm in the lab of Erik Aurell who co-supervised my Ph.D. thesis. I did my graduation thesis in the TNT group led by Angelo Vulpiani at the Physics department of La Sapienza University in Rome. With all the above mentioned persons I maintain close relations and on-going scientific collaborations.
