Course Description

The main scope of the course is to provide a self-contained introduction to the main concepts of modern classical mechanics. Topics included are also the relation between Hamiltonian formalism mechanics and deterministic control (Pontryagin's maximum principle), and the statistical notions needed in the study of chaotic (Hamiltonian) dynamical systems.
