The Colloquium of Geosciences 2015
2nd Finnish National Geological Colloquium will be organized in University of Helsinki, Kumpula Kampus (Lecture Hall CHE LS 1) at 4.-5.3.2015. The Colloquium offers an overview on current research topics in geosciences.
Call for papers
Welcome to the 2nd Finnish National Colloquium of Geosciences that will be held on March 4-5, 2015 at the University of Helsinki (Kumpula Campus). We kindly ask you to register for the Colloquium by February 10, 2015. Please note that the Colloquium has no registration fee and that the Finnish Doctoral Program in Geology will reimburse (modest) travel expenses of members from outside the Helsinki metropolitan area.
We solicit oral and poster presentations on all subdicplines of geosciences for the Colloquium. Oral presentations will be 15 min; the preferred language is English but also presentations in Finnish or Swedish will be accepted. The abstract language is English. Poster size is portrait A0.
All abstracts must be written in English. Abstract should contain title, author’s name (s), author’s affiliation(s), and the body text. The body text must be no more than 350 words. Figures and references are not allowed. Please use index numbers if there is more than one affiliation. It is the author’s responsibility to submit a correct abstract. Any errors in spelling, grammar or scientific fact in the abstract text will be reproduced as typed by the author. Please submit your abstract .txt, .doc., or .docx format.
The deadline for receipt of abstracts is February 10, 2015
We kindly ask you to register for the Colloquium by 25.2.2015.
At Tuesday 3.3.2015, there will be a workshop for PhD-students and supervisors. The workshop will focus on synopsis of the PhD-thesis. Registration by 10.2.2015.
Graduate Program will organize travel and accommodation for PhD students from outside the Metropolitan area. Please indicate in the registration form if you want the Graduate Program to cover your travel and accommodation.
