Mathematical Physics of Out-of Equilibrium Systems (MPOES)MPOES is an European Research Council (ERC) Advanced Grant project devoted to fundamental questions in non-equilibrium statistical mechanics. Our objective is to derive macroscopic diffusion and transport form conservative microscopic dynamics. The project forms a part of the Helsinki University Mathematical Physics Group and has close contacts with the Academy of Finland Center of Excellence in Analysis and Dynamics Research . Group MembersPresently the group consists of the following members: Antti Kupiainen (PI), Jeremy Clark, Loic Dubois, Eunghyun Lee (postdoc), Oskari Ajanki (PhD student). Moreover Academy Research Fellow Jani Lukkarinen is closely involved with the group. Past postdocs are Wojciech De Roeck, Jogia Bandyopadhyay, Carlos Mejia Monasterio and Peter Toth. Positions availableThe group is looking for postdocs with good background in one or more of the following fields: statistical mechanics, dynamical systems, disordered systems. Inquiries should be sent to ajkupiai@cc.helsinki.fi |
