Intersubjectivity is a precondition for all human life: for social organization as well as for individual development and well-being. A primordial site for its creation and maintenance is human interaction. The Finnish Center of Excellence in Research on Intersubjectivity in Interaction studies the creation and maintenance of intersubjective understanding in social interaction. The CoE is cross-linguistic and interdisciplinary, comprising linguists and social scientists. A core theoretical and methodological framework is Conversation Analysis (CA).
